Islamophia in America

A report issued by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Center for Race and Gender at UC Berkeley on June 21, 2016. The report, titled “Confronting Fear,” presents the facts about the 33 Islamophobic groups who had access to at least $205 million in total revenue between 2008-2013. The report presents a four-point strategy designed to achieve a shared American understanding of Islam in which being Muslim carries a positive connotation, and in which Islam has an equal place among the many faiths that together constitute America’s pluralistic society.

The Iberian Encounter and Exchange

The Iberian Encounter and Exchange is currently accepting book proposals. The Iberian Peninsula has historically been an area of the world that fostered encounters and exchanges among peoples from different societies. For centuries, Iberia acted as a nexus for the circulation of ideas, people, objects, and technology around the pre-modern western Mediterranean, Atlantic, and eventually the Pacific. Iberian Encounter and Exchange, 475-1755 combines a broad thematic scope with the territorial limits of the Iberian Peninsula and its global contacts.
